1614 GMT Diba Ilunga has scored DR Congo's third goal from the penalty spot. How many more can the Leopards score against Mauritius?
1601 GMT DR Congo go 2-0 up against Mauritius in Kinshasa at the start of the second half, thanks to Matumona Zola, while Ghana maintain their 2-0 lead in Brazzaville.
1600 GMT It's half-time in Freetown where Sierra Leone still lead 1-0.
1555 GMT Zerihun, an Ethiopian in Brussels emails: "I am a bit disappointed that no-one is saying anything about the opponents of Nigeria. You know that they are playing against Ethiopia. I am not hoping that we can produce something against them but when I heard that Obafemi Martins, Osaze Odemwingie and Victor Anichebe are back, I started shaking at the prospect of being hammered by the Super Eagles."
1537 GMT A quick reminder of what's still to come. Sudan v Swaziland is the next game to kick-off, at 1700 GMT. Then the three big ones, late in the day. In Abuja it's Nigeria against Ethiopia at 1800 GMT; in Accra (because of the political situation back home ) it's Ivory Coast versus Benin, and finally Algeria against Morocco.
1533 GMT GOAL! Sierra Leone take the lead in Niamey against Niger. Mohamed Bangoura is the scorer. 23 minutes gone in that game now.
1530 GMT GOAL! Ghana double their lead in Brazzaville. Dominic Adiyiah is the scorer this time as the Black Stars lead Congo 2-0 going into halftime.
1527 GMT Aponsah, a Ghanaian in Sudan, emails: "Guess Champions League is priority for released England players and their teams, but Ghana is going to beat England with or without those stars. But first, a good win this afternoon will set the tone for the Tuesday showdown.  Go!! Black Stars!"
1522 GMT That's in Nigeria's group - pool B of qualifying. But Guinea's point in Madagascar means the Syli National will top the table whatever happens in Abuja this evening.
1519 GMT RESULT Seems the Madagascar v Guinea game kicked-off a lot earlier than we were all expecting. It's all over in Antananarivo - and it's honours even. AFP news agency reports Yvan Rajaonarimana as putting the home team in front on 17 minutes, with Djoulde Bah equalising for the visitors ten minutes from time.
1510 GMT GOAL! DR Congo take the lead against Mauritius. Lomana Lualua with the penalty after Diba Ilunga was brought down.
1505 GMT GOAL! Ghana take the lead in Brazzaville! Prince Tagoe the scorer. In Niamey meanwhile the teams are out for Niger v Sierra Leone. Kick-off imminent.
1458 GMT GOAL! AND FINAL WHISTLE! Zambia continue the theme of late goals this weekend (Senegal, SA yesterday) and Emmanuel Mayuka scores in the 92nd minute to earn a 2-0 victory over Mozambique in Maputo. Great result for Zambia.
1457 GMT 17 minutes gone in Kinshasa, DR Congo are dominating the game against Mauritius but they haven't been able to break through yet.
1453 GMT Zim-Canadian texts to ask if Zimbabwe's Warriors can follow their southern African colleagues in having a good weekend. Sadly for Zim fans, they were beaten 1-0 by Mali in Bamako last night. They're third in Group A, but five points behind the leaders - Cape Verde (see sms at 1441 below).
1451 GMT Four minutes to go in Maputo. Chipolopolo of Zambia are holding on to their 1-0 lead against Mozambique. They're into stoppage time...
1441 GMT Nicks in Nigeria texts on +44 77 86 20 20 08 to say things are changing across the continent. "I think there's a changing of guards in African football. While some African powers like Egypt and Tunisia are stumbling, teams like Botswana, Niger and Cape Verde - once considered as minnows - are emerging as forces to reckoned with. It's great for the African game."
1430 GMT The matches is Brazzaville, Kinshasa and Antananarivo are all getting going about now. Madagascar/Guinea fans - apologies for failing to give you the big build-up. The main news from that one so far is that Guinea's Pascal Feindouno is due to make his return for the Syli National.
1426 GMT Counting down the minutes to ko in DR Congo's game against Mauritius and Ghana's away clash with Congo in Brazzaville. Ken, a Ghanaian in Ukraine, texts on +44 77 86 20 20 08 to say "I hope Ghana wins against Congo. Away games are very tricky but I feel we could get a result. Let's go Black Stars."
1425 GMT The second half of the game in Maputo is well underway - but there's still no change in that scoreline just yet. Zambia still leading Mozambique by a goal to nil.
1419 GMT A texter from the USA asks "did Botswana really qualify?" The answer is an unequivocal yes! Their 1-0 win in Chad yesterday makes the Zebras the first team to secure a place in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon 2012. Hear what it means to their fans here .
1416 GMT Nigeria are playing much later this evening - but here's a reminder of the pressure that comes with the job of Super Eagles coach. Abasiubong emails from the University of Uyo with this: "I believe in the abilities of coach Samson Siasia. He is the Messiah of Nigerian football." The good news for Siasia (first reported at 1253) is that Obafemi Martins, Osaze Odemwingie and Victor Anichebe are all available.
1412 GMT DR Congo are more ambitious than that - but they need to get moving. They have only a single point from their two games so far and Senegal are roaring away at the top of the table in Group E with a maximum nine. TP Mazembe man Dioko Kaluyituka is missing through illness but Lomana Lualua is in the squad.
1408 GMT And an update ahead of the DR Congo v Mauritius game in Kinshasa (which is also a 1430 GMT ko). Our man in DRC reports that Mauritius are accepting they're not going to qualify for the Nations Cup - instead they're using the campaign to prepare for the Indian Ocean Island Games.
1406 GMT Some team news from Ghana's game against Congo Brazzaville. Asamoah Gyan is suspended so Goran Stevanovic goes with Prince Tagoe and Dominic Adiyiah up front. Match scheduled to start at 1430 GMT.
1402 GMT Thoughts on Fabio Capello's decision to release some of England's top stars ahead of the game against Ghana at Wembley on Tuesday. Fred, a Black Stars fan, emails: "I hope England will not use this as an excuse for losing to Ghana.  Go Black Stars Go!!! "

Our man watching the action reports: "James Chamanga broke loose after a defensive blunder by the Mozambique full back Dario Khan and struck a low shot into the far corner." The goal came in the 15th minute. Zambia will go to the top of Group C if they win this game.

1310 GMT Heavy rain is expected across southern Africa today - it's certainly forecast for Maputo, and for Lusaka too, where the Zambian U23 side will be playing Rwanda in an Olympic qualifier later.
1300 GMT And the first game of the day is underway. It's in Group C and Mozambique are hosting Zambia in Maputo. The Mambas will go three points clear at the top with a win. The other match from this pool is delayed until Monday night when Libya take on Comoros Islands. For obvious reasons the game is not in Tripoli. It has been moved to Bamako in Mali.
1255 GMT Ghana fans will be concentrating on events in Brazzaville this afternoon, as the Black Stars take on Congo - but then they will turn their attention to London and the friendly against England. And it's bad news for those hoping to see a full strength England side. Fabio Capello is not playing ball .
1253 GMT Good news for Nigerian fans is that their injured trio of Osaze Odemwingie, Obafemi Martins and Victor Anichebe are all fit to play - despite fears that we would miss out. A big surprise, according to our man in Abuja.
1249 GMT No other side can match Botswana's performance in qualifying for the finals - but Ivory Coast can run away at the top of Group H if they beat Benin in Accra tonight; Ghana will hope to take a decisive lead in their pool - although Sudan will keep pace if they bear Swaziland - and Nigeria want a win in Abuja over Ethiopia and will be hoping for Guinea to slip up in Madagascar.
